2024/05/07 Every time I see the Gaiark Yogostein from Go-onger, I'm reminded of a certain character from one of my favorite movies, Apocalypto. It's Zero Wolf, one of the main villains and a leader of the Maya tribe, who attacks Jaguar Paw and his companions and relentlessly pursues him until the end. The two's outfits have some obvious similarities, especially their top-knot hairstyles and loincloths (?) covering their privates. The film in question was released in 2007 while Go-onger aired in 2008, and considering that Super Sentai has a tendency to incorporate trends from the previous year, I can only conclude that their resemblance isn't accidental, and that Zero Wolf was a deliberate model for Yogostein. Zero Wolf is a father who loves his son, while Yogostein is in the son position, so it seems like the father-son relationship aspect also served as an inspiration. I hope the truth is revealed someday! / ゴーオンジャーに出てくるガイアークのヨゴシュタインを見るたび、いつもある人を思い起こす。 それというのは、私の大好きな映画の1つであるアポカリプトに出てくるZero Wolfという人物である。 主人公のJaguar Pawとその一族に襲い掛かってくるマヤ族の幹部的な人物で、最後まで執拗にJaguar Pawを追い詰めてくる重要な敵キャラの1人である。 ヨゴシュタインとZero Wolfの恰好とか髪型を照らし合わせて見ると、めちゃくちゃ酷似したイメージがある。特に印象が似ているポイントは、頭の高い位置で一本結びにした髪と、股間を覆い隠す一枚の布(?)である。 しかも、該当映画は日本で2007年に公開されている。スーパー戦隊は番組の前年に流行ったものを取り入れる傾向にあり、 ゴーオンジャーはその翌年の2008年に放送されていることを鑑みると、たまたま似ているのではなく、 意図的にZero Wolfをモデルにヨゴシュタインがデザインされたんじゃないだろうか。 Zero Wolfは息子を想う父だったけど、ヨゴシュタインは逆に息子の立場にあって、親子関係っていうのもアイデアとして利用されてたりするかも。 いつか真相をわかる日が来るのを願う(笑)

2024/04/10 Fairy Tail Parfum, which creates perfume based on Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and anime, released a Time Ranger perfume available as a set based on the image of Red and Pink. Based on the site's explanation, it seems like the scents are meant to symbolize the relationship between Tatsuya and Yuuri. There are perfumes for Sentai series that are particularly popular with adults, and Shinkenger and King-Ohger have one for each hero. In addition to the sentai, Donbrothers even have ones for the Notos. I don't know if it's okay to say this, but Timeranger's bottle and package actually seems the lamest out of all of them... Checking the Kamen Rider series, Zi-O's also is pretty lame, so I think it's a tendency of time travel related designs. I guess it's just not my taste... 2024/03/23 Do you know the "Gekiranger leak image" on the left? As you can see, it's a collage resembling a leaked promotion image of a new show as if cut from a magazine, featuring three young people who have nothing to do with Gekiranger, but in 2007, before the show was aired, it was suddenly posted on an internet message board, and for an instant caused a stir among fans who were confused as to whether this was a legitimate leak and these all too normal looking people could actually be the main characters. After the show was aired, it was obvious that this was the work of a troll, but even before then, considering the trend of actors who had appeared in previous seasons, it should have been pretty obvious this was a fake. The weird part however, is that the source image of the three models wasn't found, and became something of a legend in the tokusatsu community!Σ(OωO )ﾋﾞｸｯ!? There was nothing like generative AI back then, so they're definitely real people, but no one was able to verify their identities. That always seemed a little creepy, but just last year, this Youtube channel solved the mystery by finding the source image! It was from a minor stock photo that's no longer for sale.(-ω-` ) It may seem like a rather anti-climactic conclusion, but it's kind of strange in itself to think that someone would have paid tens of thousands of yen just to make this collage. The video surmises that the employee of a design company that had purchased the image probably misused the it to make the collage, which is still pretty strange. In any case, a long running mystery of the tokusatsu world has finally been solved. / 左図の「ゲキレンジャー バレ画像」を知っていますか？ご覧の通り、全く持って一切ゲキレンジャーに関連のない3人の若者の画像に、 あたかも雑誌から切り取られたかのような新番組の流出画像っぽいコラが施された画像なのですが、2007年の番組放送前にインターネット掲示板に突如貼られ、 ガチのネタバレ画像か？この普通すぎる3人が主役なのか？という具合に、一瞬だけファンをざわつかせたんですね。 番組放送後、当然これが釣り画像だったとわかるのですが、そもそも前年までの俳優の傾向を考えれば、コラなことは間違いなく一瞬でわかるはずです。 しかし、問題はここからですよ。この3人の画像出典元が一切見つからず、ずっと特撮界隈のオカルトだったんですよ・・・！！Σ(OωO )ﾋﾞｸｯ!? 今みたいに生成AIなんかなかったので、実在する人間です。なのに、どこを探したってどこにも見つからない謎の3人。 それ自体が妙に不気味な感じがさせられていたのですが、なんと去年、こちらのYoutubeチャンネルが16年間謎だった画像のソースを探し当ててくれました！ 今は販売されていないマイナーなストックフォトからの画像だったらしい。(-ω-` ) なんの面白味もない現実的で想像通りな結果とは言え、 わざわざスーパー戦隊ファンを釣るために数万円払って画像コラ作ったやつがいるってことなんですかね？ 動画の説明にもあったように、デザイン系会社に勤めてる人が、会社で購入した写真を勝手に持ち出した可能性の方が高そうですね。 それはそれで、ゾッとするような。・・・こうして長らく解明しなかった特撮オカルトの1つが、あっけなく解決した。

2024/03/13 I changed the site design. You may wonder what a picture of Mt. Fuji has to do with a Super Sentai fansite, but it actually has a deep link with Timeranger. The OP starts with a panorama of the 30th century, and if you look closely you can see Mt. Fuji in the background, leaving the impression that in whatever age, we humans are living in the same world. It's not mentioned directly in the show, but I think details like this add depth, and that Mt. Fuji is an important symbolic element in Timeranger. The scene in question is on the right, but you can't see Mt. Fuji very well, so please check on Youtube or elsewhere if you're interested!|•'-'•)و✧ I watched the first two episodes of the new series Boonboomger. It's more traditional compared to the irregular series of past years such as King-Ohger and Donbrothers, with a restrained use of CG. The "Tire-Human" mask design certainly isn't restrained, however. Many of the visual elements recall Go-onger, with the transformation pose totally being a Go-onger tribute, the Boonboom Cars racing through a world similar to Machine World, and Bun Red living in a mansion like the Sutous', the inside of which is remniscent of Ginjiro. I hope all the Go-ongers will be featured. Bundorio Bunderas is also where Satoshi's parachute landed after he was fired from the Pokemon anime. / サイトのデザインを変えました。なんでスーパー戦隊ファンサイトで富士山押してんの？って思われた方いるかもしれないですけど、 タイムレンジャーといえば富士山なんですよ！OPの冒頭で30世紀の景色が映ってるんですけど、 よく見ると奥の方に富士山が映っていて、どの時代であっても我々人間は同じ世界に生きているんだということを、この映像によって視聴者の心に深く印象付けている。 作中で触れられてはいないものの、こうしたディテールが作品に深みを与えているので、富士山はタイムレンジャーにとって大事な要素と言っていい気がします。 右図は該当のシーンですが、この写真ではよく見えないので、気になる方はYoutubeなどで確認してみてください‎|•'-'•)و✧ 新放送のブンブンジャー1話、2話を見た。ドンブラザーズやキングオージャーといったイレギュラーが続く近年の作品と比較して、 CGが抑え気味で古典的な作風に思える。その割と「タイヤ人間」なマスクのデザインは斬新すぎる。 全体的にゴーオンジャーを想起させるようなヴィジュアル面が多く、変身時のポーズは完全にゴーオンジャーのオマージュだったし、 マシンワールドっぽいところをブンブンカーが走行しながら競い合ってたり、ブンレッド達は須藤家っぽい大豪邸に住んでて、その内部はギンジロー号っぽかった。 今後、ゴーオンジャー達が登場するのを期待してみる。ブンブンは、ついにアニメポケモンからリストラされてしまったサトシの天下り先である。
